Kylan Poindexter made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rosa Fort is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Poindexter was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

Winona's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Rosa Fort, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Winona has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462.
