Disney II posted their closest win since May 1, 2024 on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Westinghouse Warriors 2-1. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Disney II had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 25-17.

Manuel Quintero paced Disney II's offense, picking up six kills. Quintero got some help from Michael Barreto and his six assists. Chad Lee and Dontoine Garth kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

The victory got Disney II back to even at 3-3-1. As for Westinghouse, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Disney II will venture away from home to take on Holy Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Westinghouse, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Phoenix Military at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
