Sherrard had won three straight on the road, but on Saturday they bumped their record up to 15-7 to make it four. They were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over the Riverdale Rams. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Aidan Terronez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 14 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Sherrard let Eli Matson and Harrison Curry run wild. Matson went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Curry got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most RBI Matson has posted since back in March. Blake Sierens also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Sherrard always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverdale only posted an OBP of .405.
As for Riverdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.
On Riverdale's side, Colton Huffman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles. Huffman has become a key player for the Rams: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-14 otherwise. Landen Peterson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Sherrard wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-2 win against Orion on the 13th. As for Riverdale, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 defeat against Alleman on the 13th.
