Cordell has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  take on the Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers at 8:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Last Friday, Cordell came up short against Geary  and fell  60-53.
 Meanwhile,  it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose  75-14, which was the final score in Mountain View-Gotebo's tilt against Carnegie on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Mountain View-Gotebo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings  (they are ranked 260th, while Carnegie is ranked 92nd).
 Cordell bumped their record down to 0-6 with that  defeat, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Mountain View-Gotebo, their loss  ended a three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 4-2.
 Cordell came up short against Mountain View-Gotebo when the teams last played  back in January of 2021, falling  54-48. Can Cordell avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
