Basketball Recap: Greater Cabarrus S Beats Spirit Homeschool for Their Tenth Straight Victory

Greater Cabarrus S waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Spirit HomeSchool Warhawks 70-43. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Greater Cabarrus S got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashton Arrowood out in front who posted 17 points. Arrowood's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Teddy Helton III, who had 17 points.

Greater Cabarrus S' victory bumped their record up to 27-9. As for Spirit HomeSchool, they moved to 21-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Greater Cabarrus S won't have much time to rest: their next game is against KACHEA at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Greater Cabarrus S knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully KACHEA likes a good challenge. Spirit HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
