Baseball Recap: Centennial Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Centennial won against Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts on Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Eagles beat the Parkrose Broncos by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-2. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Broncos, too.

Grant Solowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Logan Landolt was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Isaac Galofteanu was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Centennial's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-16. As for Parkrose, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Broncos: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
