Hector is 9-1 against Westside since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Rebels at 11:04 a.m. Westside took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hector, who comes in off a win.
Hector's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Two Rivers as they made off with a 16-0 win.
Sarena Myers made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Myers was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hector let Aliza Keeling and Addison Campbell run wild. Keeling went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Campbell went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Ashlyn Roe was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Hector kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2025.
County Line hit Westside with a five-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rebels fell 8-4 to the Indians.
Madison Morgan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on four hits.
On the hitting side, Ayla Highfill led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Kleigh Ragsdale also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Everything went Hector's way against Westside in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Hector made off with a 13-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
