South Delta lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ahmani Lee, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Lee's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Emmanuel Sutton was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
South Delta now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Port Gibson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
South Delta will be playing at home against Riverside at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Delta in Mississippi (Riverside is ranked 76th, while South Delta is ranked 203rd). As for Port Gibson, they will head out on the road to face off against Natchez at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
