On Friday, Conneaut came up short against Madison and fell 27-18. While losing is never fun, Conneaut can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 357th, while Madison is ranked 147th).
Bryce Spurlin threw for 32 yards while completing 100% of his passes.
This is the second loss in a row for Conneaut and nudges their season record down to 5-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.0 points per game. As for Madison, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Conneaut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Madison will head out on the road to face off against Gilmour Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gilmour Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
