The Smith Center Redmen are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Washington County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Smith Center strolled past Sylvan-Lucas with points to spare, taking the game 59-43.
Daveyon Orr was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds. Tegan McKenzie was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 12 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Meanwhile, Washington County took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 67-9 victory over Wakefield. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Washington County.
The losses dropped Smith Center to 1-3 and Sylvan-Lucas to 0-4.
Smith Center and Washington County were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2016, but Smith Center came up empty-handed after a 45-44 loss. Can Smith Center avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
