The College Place Hawks will head out to challenge the Royal Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Royal will take on a team with plenty of momentum: College Place extended their winning streak to eight back in March. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 26-11 margin over Cashmere.

College Place let Adrienne Berube and Graycelyn Tonn run wild. Berube got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base, while Tonn scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances. Tonn has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Moore, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
College Place kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Royal hadn't done well against Warden recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Knights put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 17-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.
Jill Allred made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Allred was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Audrey Bergeson was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Adalynn Andersen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
College Place pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Royal, their record is now 9-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. College Place hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .521. However, it's not like Royal struggles in that department as they've averaged .403. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
College Place might still be hurting after the 15-5 loss they got from Royal when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
