The Andrews Osborne Academy Phoenix will head out on the road to challenge the Columbia Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Andrews Osborne Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Medina Christian Academy on Friday. The Phoenix were the clear victors by a 21-4 margin over the Knights. The win continues a trend for the Phoenix in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.
Izzy Schuller and Iris Parker were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Schuller pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Parker tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Schuller has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Schuller got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Parker went 1-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that Parker has hit this season.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Columbia nor Firelands made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Raiders' pitcher stepped up to hand the Falcons a 17-0 shutout. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Like Andrews Osborne Academy, Columbia also got a great game from a two-way player: Sadie Schulke. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Schulke was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grace Anderson, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Miller, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Columbia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Andrews Osborne Academy pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.2 runs over those games. As for Columbia, their record is now 14-7.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Andrews Osborne Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. However, it's not like Columbia struggles in that department as they've averaged .478. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
