Even though The West Morris Mendham Minutemen have not done well against the Morris Hills Knights recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. West Morris Mendham strolled past Morris Hills with  points to spare, taking the game  21-7. The score was all tied up  7-7 at the break, but West Morris Mendham was the (much) better team in the second half.
  Cole Capuzzi was the offensive standout of the  match as he rushed for 172 yards and  a touchdown on only ten carries. Capuzzi's longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards.  Harrison Spence made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
 West Morris Mendham's victory was  their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 4-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.7 points per game. As for Morris Hills, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
 West Morris Mendham will be playing at home against Voorhees at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Voorhees knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully West Morris Mendham likes a good challenge. As for Morris Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Ridgefield Park at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in New Jersey (Ridgefield Park is ranked 245th, while Morris Hills is ranked 231st).
