The Childress Bobcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 47-21 margin over Graham. This was payback for Childress, who suffered a 32-28 loss the last time these two teams met.
Childress got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Journey Prince out in front who scored 14 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Joshlynn Roark, who scored 11 points.
Childress' victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Graham, they bumped their record down to 6-9 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Childress will challenge Quanah at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Graham won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bowie at 2:30 p.m. on December 29th. Bowie has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 20.
