Cochranton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They strolled past Jamestown with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. That 55-39 margin sets a new team best for Cochranton this season.
Walker Carroll and Dawson Carroll were among the main playmakers for Cochranton as the former scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals and the latter went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 3 assists. That's the first time this season that Carroll scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Albert, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Saegertown had to settle for a 64-61 loss against Conneaut Area on Tuesday.
Cochranton's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Saegertown, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Cochranton came up short against Saegertown when the teams last played back in January, falling 65-61. Can Cochranton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
