The Henderson County Colonels will square off against the Owensboro Catholic Aces at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henderson County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Henderson County got the win against Union County by a conclusive 15-1. The Colonels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 contests by six runs or more this season.

Anna Kemp made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Henderson County got a massive performance out of Mackenzie Burczyk, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Burczyk has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ayden Bennett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Henderson County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union County only posted a batting average of .176.
Meanwhile, Owensboro Catholic beat Breckinridge County 6-1 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Aces in their matchups with the Fighting Tigers: they've now won three in a row.
Railey Scott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carley Brey, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Latham, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Henderson County pushed their record up to 28-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Owensboro Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12-2.
Owensboro Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Henderson County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. It's a different story for Owensboro Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .354. Will they be able to contain Henderson County's hitters?
