If the Sherman Tide were riding high off their 45-14 takedown of the Ritchie County Rebels last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sherman took a serious blow against James Monroe on Saturday, falling 48-15. Sherman lost against James Monroe in their previous head to head back in August of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-6 score last time.
Although Sherman took the loss, they still got scores from Trey Lester and Andrew Simpson.
Sherman's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for James Monroe, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Sherman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. James Monroe will stay at home for another week and welcome Cameron at 1:30 p.m. on November 18th. Cameron is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
