Section extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-14. They fell 10-5 to the North Sand Mountain Bison. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Tuesday.
Piercen Saint made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Trevor Dover, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
As for North Sand Mountain, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games.
On North Sand Mountain's side, Carson Harvey was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Harvey has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 11 matchups.
In other batting news, Jackson Burgess was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxsyn Lankster, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Section has already played their next contest (against Spring Garden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for North Sand Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Kate Duncan Smith DAR on the 7th.
