The LaBrae Vikings will square off against the Crestview Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. LaBrae is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
LaBrae barely beat McDonald the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 13-3 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.

Riley Rowe made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two doubles. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shelby Bragg, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Leah DeArmitt was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
LaBrae kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Crestview had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out Newton Falls 5-4 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rebels have posted since April 7th.
Makayla Mckee was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Mckee was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brenna Figley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lainey Milhoan, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
LaBrae pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Crestview, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. LaBrae hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .389. However, it's not like Crestview struggles in that department as they've averaged .345. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went LaBrae's way against Crestview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as LaBrae made off with a 12-1 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
