The El Paso Tigers will be home for the holidays to greet the Hanks Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. El Paso will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, El Paso came up short against Bel Air and fell 34-27. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for El Paso in their matchups with Bel Air: they've now lost three in a row.
El Paso's defeat came about despite a quality game from Natalia Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Thomas scored a full 48.1% of El Paso's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Hanks has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season. They took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-36 victory over Canutillo. Hanks' victory was all the more impressive since Canutillo was averaging only 28.94 points allowed on the season.
El Paso's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Hanks, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.
El Paso was able to grind out a solid win over Hanks in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, winning 36-24. Does El Paso have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hanks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
