The Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Ridge Spring-Monetta at home to the tune of 62-21. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-7.
Despite the loss, Ridge Spring-Monetta saw an underclassman step up: Sariya Geyer scored four points along with 12 rebounds.
Hunter-Kinard-Tyler pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.07 points. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will square off against Blackville-Hilda at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Blackville-Hilda focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday. Ridge Spring-Monetta won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Calhoun County at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
