Black River is 10-0 against Oberlin since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Black River Pirates will be playing at home against the Oberlin The Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. Black River is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Black River, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-35 loss to Buckeye. Black River has not had much luck with Buckeye recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Oberlin scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-43 victory over Medina Christian Academy. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Oberlin as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Black River has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Oberlin, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-17.
Black River was able to grind out a solid victory over Oberlin in their previous matchup back in January, winning 52-41. Does Black River have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oberlin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
