North Shore's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of King by a score of 60-58. While losing is never fun, North Shore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while King is ranked 44th).
Despite their defeat, North Shore saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Teddious Mayes, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Terrence ?Tj? Alford, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Summer Creek posted their biggest win since December 21, 2023 on Friday. Everything went their way against Humble as Summer Creek made off with a 80-58 victory. The win was just what Summer Creek needed coming off of a 88-66 defeat in their prior match.
North Shore's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Summer Creek, their win bumped their record up to 14-12.
