Macomb Area - Bronze recap October 1, 2013
Clintondale added to the longest winning streak in Macomb Area - Bronze this week by beating Clawson, 41-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Clintondale moved up to 175 from 253 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Dave Schindler's team was able to move up by defeating the Trojans 41-7.
Daniel Stewart was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 7 carries, he ran for 71 yards as Lincoln fell to the Dragons. Teammate Mike Reese added to the ground attack by rushing for 35 yards.
Jim Sparks' team's Ty Sparks and Johnson led Macomb Area - Bronze in both passing and receiving yards. Sparks has thrown for 1,338 yards this season, while Johnson, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 31 catches for 693 yards. Derrel Stewart from the Abes leads the league in rushing with 318 yards.
Lincoln and New Haven played the most contested game in the league this week, with Lincoln eventually emerging with a 20-16 victory. Darius Totty threw for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
