Russellville won their last match against Fulton County, and it was the same story this time around. Russellville dodged a bullet on Friday, finishing off Fulton County 23-22. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Russellville's offense had trouble getting into gear in the first half and closed the half with zero points. As for Fulton County, they scored eight to put Russellville at a 0-8 disadvantage heading into the break. The Russellville offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 23 points. The victory bumped Russellville's record up to 3-4. The loss dropped Fulton County's record to 4-2.
Russellville will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against Fulton City at Russellville High School in two weeks at 2:00 PM. Unlike Russellville, Fulton City will be limping in after taking a loss. Fulton County will be playing at home against Calloway County at at 7:00 PM next week.
