While North Panola's win against Coahoma County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Red Panthers 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since March 18, 2024.

Isaiah Callicut was a standout: he scored two runs and stole six bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Noah Bolton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

North Panola has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 0.5 runs across that stretch. As for Coahoma County, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, North Panola will head out on the road to challenge Delta Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Coahoma County, they have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 defeat against Rosa Fort on the 11th.
