The Community Vikings/Viqueens fell victim to the Watertown Purple Tigers''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Purple Tigers 63-0. Having soared to a lofty 46 points in the game before, Community couldn't push the score so high this time.
Watertown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Blake Waldorf led the charge by throwing for 161 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Cooper, who rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns.
Community's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Watertown, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Watertown will head out on the road to face off against McMinn Central at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. McMinn Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 130 points over their last three matches.
