Softball Recap: Reese Beats Vassar for Their Third Straight Win

Reese entered their tilt with Vassar on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Vulcans with a sharp 19-2 win. Considering the Rockets have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Jaidyn VanOchten, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Peyton Will also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Reese always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vassar only posted an OBP of .294.

Reese's record now sits at 19-11. As for Vassar, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Reese didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-4 loss against Yale on the 24th. Vassar has also already played their next contest (against Millington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
