Lincoln has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge The Southeast Polk Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Southeast Polk is ranked first).
Last Friday, Lincoln came up short against Marshalltown and fell 27-14.
Meanwhile, Southeast Polk put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dowling Catholic and snuck past 37-34. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Southeast Polk's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Moberly, who threw for 221 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Southeast Polk also got a significant boost from Claude Phillip, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 103 yards.
Southeast Polk's win bumped their season record to 8-0 while Lincoln's defeat dropped theirs to 3-5.
