It was a good run, but the Hardin Hornets unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 79-28 loss at the hands of Orangefield. Hardin has struggled against Orangefield recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josue Ibarra, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The contest was Ibarra's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Orangefield, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hardin will take on Buna at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orangefield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Warren at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Warren will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1351st, while Orangefield is ranked 222nd).
