Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grand Valley). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Meeker Cowboys 66-39. With the Cardinals ahead 34-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Grand Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Porter Ostermiller, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Daniel Gronewoller, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Grand Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Meeker only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.

Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Drake, who posted ten points and eight rebounds. Tyler Sanders was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 15 points.

The win made it two in a row for Grand Valley and bumps their season record up to 3-7. As for Meeker, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Grand Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 63-51 loss against Roaring Fork on the 11th. As for Meeker, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-38 defeat against Cedaredge on the 11th.
