The Levelland Lobos''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. Their tough 45-19 defeat to Seminole might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Levelland in their matchups with Seminole: they've now lost four in a row.
Levelland's loss came despite strong showings from Ethan Salazar and Ben Alvarado. Salazar threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns, while Alvarado picked up 155 receiving yards. Alvarado's longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards.
It was another big night for Wyatt Holmstrom, who threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 112 yards on only 13 carries. Caton Cramer was another key contributor, gaining 139 total yards and two touchdowns.
Levelland has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Seminole, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Levelland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Seminole will be playing in front of their home fans against Perryton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
