Mansfield is 3-0 against the Rams since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mansfield Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wyalusing Valley Rams at 7:30 p.m. Mansfield will be strutting in after a win while the Rams will be coming in after a loss.
Mansfield stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They put the hurt on Northeast Bradford with a sharp 62-41 win. The win was some much needed relief for Mansfield as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Mansfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karson Dominick out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Dominick is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cooper Shaw, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wyalusing Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 13th straight defeat. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Towanda.
Mansfield's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Wyalusing Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Mansfield strolled past the Rams in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 60-46. Will Mansfield repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
