Imperial Valley recap Nov. 7, 2012
Brawley extended the longest winning streak in Imperial Valley this week by beating Central, 42-3. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Imperial's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chris Carter threw for 132 and three touchdowns and DaJon Staton had 91 yards receiving. On the ground Royce Freeman chipped in 216 yards. Freeman helped Imperial's passing attack out by catching three balls for 33 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Carter and Freeman the Tigers have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Carter leads the league in passing with 1061 yards, while Freeman has rushed for 2116 yards this season. Calexico's Aldo Munoz leads the league in receiving yards with 545 on 16 catches.
Imperial led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Palo Verde Valley. Carter ran for 41 yards in the win.
