Fletcher has gone a perfect 7-0 against Baldwin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Fletcher will host Baldwin at 6:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Fletcher's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Orange Park 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Senators in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won six in a row.
Not much got past Kyle Johnson, who gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks to keep Orange Park off the board. Furthermore, Johnson didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, Kolby Batten was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
Fletcher hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Orange Park struck out six times.
Meanwhile, Baldwin sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over West Nassau on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.
The result came thanks to Cooper Farah's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.
On the hitting side, Baldwin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Fletcher's win bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Baldwin, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Fletcher came out on top in a nail-biter against Baldwin when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Will Fletcher repeat their success, or does Baldwin has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
