In what's become a running theme this season, the Imagine Prep Storm gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 69-8 victory over ASU Prep at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-6.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Imagine Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaliyah Chacon, who scored 22 points along with five steals. Chacon has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Bella Ernsberger was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Imagine Prep's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for ASU Prep, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Imagine Prep's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on February 7th. Glenview College Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for ASU Prep, they will be playing at home against the at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. BASIS - Peoria has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11.
