Kyle May Has Career Rushing Day
Starting off the list is Liberty Hill's Kyle May, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday May rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 56 yards.
The win (which was Liberty Hill's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. May and Liberty Hill will take on Pflugerville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bryce Muchaw Delivers Best Effort of Season
Bryce Muchaw produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Liberty Hill to the win on Friday. Muchaw rushed for 276 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (121.5) per game. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run.
Muchaw and Liberty Hill will venture away from home to take on Pflugerville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will pit Muchaw up against Pflugerville's star running back Rhyder Miller. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Weston Nielsen Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Bastrop was led to victory by Weston Nielsen, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Nielsen threw for 375 yards and six touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.3 passing touchdowns per game.
The win was the third in a row for Bastrop, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Nielsen and Bastrop are taking a road trip to challenge Navarro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Cole Taylor Dazzles in Pflugerville Win
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Cole Taylor stepped things up a notch to give Pflugerville the 'W'. McCallum had no answer to Taylor as he threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per attempt, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
Pflugerville's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Taylor will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Liberty Hill on Friday.

Zaire Nuells Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sadly, Zaire Nuells posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Elgin over Liberty Hill on Friday. Nuells rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 119 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats faces off against Crockett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
