One of the most notable came from Billy White III, who threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes. Another player making a difference was Noah Endres, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial's defense and their four sacks. Chris Vasquez was especially locked on to King's QB and sacked him twice.
Meanwhile, Southwest entered their tilt with Southwest Legacy with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Southwest breezed by Southwest Legacy at home to the tune of 34-7. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-0.
Southwest's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Timothy Olague, who threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt, and Aazeryuan Voss, who picked up 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Southwest, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial strolled past Southwest in their previous matchup back in November of 2021 by a score of 26-7. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Southwest's Jake Friesenhahn, who rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown.
