The Alvarado Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 83-43 stomp they got on the road against Waskom. That looming 83-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Alvarado yet this season.
Alvarado was led to victory by Joslyn Jarmon and Candra Bridgewater. Jarmon scored 23 points along with nine steals and six rebounds, while Bridgewater scored 39 points along with nine steals and eight rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Bridgewater has scored at least 25% of Alvarado's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Cross, who scored five points.
Alvarado's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Waskom, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Alvarado and East Bernard will face off at 3:00 p.m. on December 28, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. East Bernard is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Waskom, they will challenge Jefferson at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
