Centennial is 8-2 against Mayfield since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Centennial Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mayfield Trojans at 7:00  p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Centennial and six for Mayfield.
 Last Friday, Centennial was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  53-48 to Alamogordo.
  Brady Rewalt put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he  scored 11 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals.  Nate Serna was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
 Even though they lost, Centennial  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Mayfield had to suffer through a rough  73-46 loss at the hands of Las Cruces. Mayfield was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  41-21.
 Centennial now  has a losing record at 10-11. As for Mayfield, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost ten of their last 11 matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record  this season.
 Centennial strolled past Mayfield in their previous meeting  back in January by a score of  46-32. Does  Centennial have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mayfield turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
