Riley Nelson put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Monday. He struck out three batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long.

Nelson's strong effort led Santa Fe Christian over Bishop and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are 9-1 against the Knights going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
