On Tuesday, Cornerstone Christian Academy strolled past Humble Christian with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Cornerstone Christian Academy has scored all season.
Alpha Omega Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 26 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Calvary Baptist 51-19 at home.
Among those leading the charge was Kathryn Peach, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 19 rebounds. Those 19 rebounds set a new season-high mark for she. Another player making a difference was Maddie Wallace, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Cornerstone Christian Academy's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Alpha Omega Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
