Tri-County Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Central Hinds Academy Cougars 9-1 on Tuesday. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

Tri-County Academy pushed their record up to 23-4 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Central Hinds Academy, they moved to 8-12 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tri-County Academy beat the Cougars by a score of 7-1 on Thursday.
