Garrett Memorial Christian had a senior duo take command as Mikayla Fields scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals and Charity Zumwalt scored 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The win (which was Garrett Memorial Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 7-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Columbia Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-20 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garrett Memorial Christian will take on Arkansas Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Arkansas Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 26.4 points per game this season, so Garrett Memorial Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Columbia Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cornerstone Christian at 5:00 p.m. Cornerstone Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
