Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask York). They blew past the Dreher Blue Devils 17-3 on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won four matches in a row.

Colby Falls was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Falls was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Connor Sweatt was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Zack Whiteside, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

York kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.

York's record now sits at 9-5. As for Dreher, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

York will be playing in front of their home fans against Clover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Dreher, they are taking a road trip to take on Richland Northeast at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
