It was another big night for Caleb Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Mays, who scored six points along with two steals.
Despite the defeat, Southwest DeKalb saw an underclassman step up: Harlim Perine scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perine has scored all season. Sam Turner was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Holy Innocents Episcopal pushed their record up to 16-6 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Southwest DeKalb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
Holy Innocents Episcopal will play host again and welcome Miller Grove, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest DeKalb's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hapeville Charter at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
