Baseball Recap: Delaware County Christian Takes a Loss

Delaware County Christian lost against Marple Newtown back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights fell just short of the Fightin' Tigers by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by just one run.

Gabe Digregorio was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Delaware County Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 7-10 when he doesn't). Justin Ma was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Delaware County Christian dropped their record down to 9-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Marple Newtown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

As of now, neither Delaware County Christian nor the Fightin' Tigers have any future games scheduled.
