Patterson Mill has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Overlea Falcons at 6:45 p.m. Hopefully Patterson Mill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Patterson Mill came up short against Rising Sun and fell 57-46. While losing is never fun, Patterson Mill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Rising Sun is ranked 20th).
Patterson Mill's loss came about despite a quality game from Kiley Wilhelm, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. sophia trinh was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Overlea had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They took down Owings Mills 41-25 on Friday. The victory was just what Overlea needed coming off of a 70-8 defeat in their prior match.
Patterson Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Overlea, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
