Harrisburg suffered their closest loss since November 14, 2023 on Thursday. They fell just short of Rivercrest by a score of 57-54. Harrisburg has struggled against the Colts recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Harrisburg's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Axel Heeb, who scored 21 points, and Jayvin Thompson who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thompson has scored all season. Eastin Gray was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Midland's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by White County Central on the road and fell 70-41.
Harrisburg dropped their record down to 5-21 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Midland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Harrisburg came up short against the Mustangs in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, falling 51-46. Can Harrisburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
