Penn is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Lakeshore. The Kingsmen put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 13-5 victory. The Kingsmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

Logan Rumble was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Ava Zachary was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Penn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win (which was Penn's fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Lakeshore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-7.

Penn will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lancers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
